Take part now: Photo competition “Is this already sustainable?”
As part of the Ilmenau Science Night we invite all interested parties to capture their perspective on sustainability in photographs – whether amateur or professional.
We are looking for images that show what is sustainable – or not.
The theme can be interpreted freely.
The photos are to be taken at the Ilmenau University of Technology and in the surrounding area.
The closing date for entries is 31.05.2026.
The exhibition and award ceremony will take place during the Science Night in the University Library.

- what characterizes the TU Ilmenau, the campus or the surrounding area
Whether it’s an everyday situation, a snapshot or a deliberately staged motif – there are no limits to your creativity.
It is important that your picture deals with the topic of sustainability and has a connection to the TU Ilmenau or the surrounding area.

- Image editing is permitted, the photographic character must be retained
- Purely AI-generated images are not permitted
